Baldur's Gate 2: Enhanced Edition Android release date

Update 1.3 also adds Linux and iPhone versions.

The Linux, Android and iPhone versions of Baldur's Gate 2: Enhanced Edition are coming out 16th December in update 1.3 of the game.

Yes, you can play it on your phone.

Included are hundreds of bug fixes, better pathfinding and stabilised multiplayer. There are German and Spanish text translations and the very-handy-for-a-phone option of increasing font size.

It's a whopping £10.49 for iPad at the moment, but there's no word how much it will cost for phones. Baldur's Gate [1]: Enhanced Edition costs £6.99 on iOS.

The Enhanced Edition of BG2 came out last Christmas on PC, Mac and iPad. It hasn't been on tablets before now but of course it was, originally, on PC. However, unless you can be bothered to apply all your own mods, the Enhanced Edition makes a lot of sense, even if it does cost £20.

And remember, as our Baldur's Gate 2: Enhanced Edition review concluded: "It's hard, it's obtuse. It's big, it's beautiful. It's cruel, it's arbitrary. It's an adventure."
