Tengami PC/Mac delayed until January due to busy end-of-year season

But pre-order customers will still get keys.

The PC and Mac versions of indie adventure Tengami have been delayed until 15th January 2015.

But anyone who already pre-ordered the game will still recieve their Steam key "within the next few days".

Both versions are complete and ready to publicly launch, but Tengami developer Nyamyam is concerned that the game won't draw enough attention due to the current glut of big name releases.

"As you probably know the game is finished," co-founder Jennifer Schneidereit wrote in a new blog post. "But unfortunately November and December happen to be some of the busiest months for gaming releases.

"With Christmas coming up, a lot of big titles are being released and most of the big publishers are fighting over the 'big Christmas business'. This also means that the gaming press is very busy with covering these big releases.

"We worry releasing Tengami into this situation, will result in greatly decreased attention by press and players alike. Visibility is nowadays one of the key factors for a game's success on any platform and frankly we don't think that we will be able to create enough awareness for the game's launch during the 'festive' season."

A point-and-click adventure set in a Japanese watercolour world, Tengami is already available on iOS and Wii U.
