Super Smash Bros. for Wii U release date changed in the UK

Now a week... earlier!

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will now be released a week earlier in Europe - on 28th November, Nintendo has just confirmed.

This applies to the game itself, the new Smash Bros. themed GameCube controller and the game and controller bundle.

The only bundle whose release date hasn't been changed is the Smash Bros. and Mario Amiibo bundle - that's still down for 5th December.

The new date also ties in with the launch of Nintendo's first wave of Amiibo, which are also due to arrive in Europe on 28th November.

12 figurines will be initially available: Mario, Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Link, Fox, Samus, Wii Fit Trainer, Villager, Pikachu, Kirby and Marth.

A second wave of Amiibo will follow on 19th December. Included in this latter line-up are six more characters: Zelda, Diddy Kong, Luigi, Little Mac, Pit and Captain Falcon.
