Microsoft unveils wired Xbox One controller for Windows PC

Plug and play.

Microsoft has unveiled a wired Xbox One controller for use with WIndows PC.

Hold me.

The aptly-named Xbox One Controller + Cable for Windows launches in November 2014 and works with Windows 7 and Windows 8.

Microsoft called it the best PC controller it's ever made, the "culmination of over 200 prototypes".

It plugs into any available USB slot and updates automatically. It also works with your Xbox One as well, either wirelessly or with the cable.

Of course, you can always use a wireless Xbox One controller with your PC, now the drivers are available.

Microsoft hasn't announced a UK price yet (it costs $59.95 in the US). For reference, you can pick up an Xbox One controller for around £35.
