Produced by Ridley Scott and co-developed by 343 Industries, the upcoming TV show is set between the events of Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians. It will tell the story of Jameson Locke, "a legendary manhunter and agent with the Office of Naval Intelligence."

You'll be able to play as this lovely fellow in Halo 5: Guardians.

As reported by Polygon, 343 revealed at a Comic-Con panel that Locke will be a playable character in Halo 5 and actor Mike Colter (Million Dollar Baby, Zero Dark Thirty) will reprise his role. The TV show will also include Christina Chong, an actress who will appear in Star Wars: Episode VII.

According to Halo: Nightfall's YouTube description, Locke and his cohorts will get involved in a biological attack and must "unravel a plot that draws them to an ancient, hellish artifact, where they will be forced to fight for their survival, question everything, and ultimately choose between their loyalties and their lives." They'll also shoot a lot of stuff.

Halo: Nightfall is set to launch in November, around the time of the Master Chief Collection that encompasses the entire numbered games in the series to date (but excludes spin-offs Halo: ODST and Halo: Reach).
