Ubisoft now employs a chief parkour officer for Assassin's Creed

We're not giving you the run around.

Assassin's Creed publisher Ubisoft now employs a chief parkour officer to oversee new entries in the series.

Michael "Frosti" Zernow will serve in a "strategic advisory role", with his work first seen in this year's French Revolution-set Assassin's Creed: Unity.

Zernow is a veteran of free-running team Tempest and has worked in parkour motion capture for other games in the past.

"I've been a long-time fan of the Assassin's Creed franchise," the chief parkour officer said. "It's one of the few highly visible examples of parkour that attracts younger athletes to the sport every year."

While Unity is just three months from release, at least two other Assassin's Creed titles are already thought to be in development to keep Zernow occupied.

A spin-off for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 has been hinted at by Ubisoft itself, likely to also launch this autumn. Next year's full game is also already in production.
