The Banner Saga coming to iPad, Windows and Android tablets

Soon.

The Banner Saga is coming to iPad, Windows and Android tablets at some point this summer, publisher Versus Evil has announced. It launched on PC back in January.

Stoic's Viking-themed role-playing strategy game features controls reworked for touchscreens. The developer told Eurogamer it will be a premium title, although it has yet to announce a price.

Eurogamer's The Banner Saga review rolled an 8/10, with Stace Harman calling it "a refreshing take on the tactical RPG with a story every bit as engaging as its combat".

Meanwhile, Stoic announced The Banner Saga has been localized and is available in French, German, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish languages for PC and Mac.

"Releasing The Banner Saga in multiple languages is a promise we made to our backers when we launched our Kickstarter in 2012,” technical director John Watson said.

"We are happy to be able to keep this promise by finally releasing the game in multiple languages. In addition to PC and Mac the game will also be available in multiple languages on mobile devices when we launch the game later this summer and look forward to sharing this experience with a whole new audience."
