First gameplay of PS3 Godzilla game from Bandai Namco

Namco Bandai is making a Godzilla game for PlayStation 3.

Japanese magazine Famitsu (via Siliconera) said it's based on the iconic older Godzilla movies, rather than the recent Hollywood blockbuster (was it any good? I still haven't seen it).

In the game you play as Godzilla and smash up buildings. A trailer, below, gives us a glimpse at the gameplay.

Godzilla is due out in Japan this winter. Will the giant monster ever make its way to our shores?
