Watch Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. for Wii U tournament

Two hours of gameplay and shenanigans.

Last night Nintendo held its first ever Super Smash Bros. for Wii U invitational tournament, live on stage at E3.

Footage of the entire two-hour event lies below, including a ton of new Smash Bros. gameplay. It features new characters such as Rosalina, Little Mac and Greninja going at it in battle, along with returning favourites such as Zero Suit Samus and Kirby.

A variety of stages are also shown, such as Skyloft from Zelda: Skyward Sword and maps themed around Mega Man and New Super Mario Bros.

Nintendo's E3 presence has been peppered with Smash Bros. announcements so far, including the reveals of Mii fighters, Palutena and Pac-Man as playable characters, plus the introduction of the Skylanders-style Amiibo figurines.
