Chris Roberts shows off Star Citizen dogfighting

This is what $40m gets you.

Chris Roberts has for the first time shown off Star Citizen's dogfighting.

In an on-stage demonstration at PAX East, Roberts showed how you'll get into your space ship, fly out of your hanger and shoot up ships in the upcoming space game.

Of note: the nifty helmet animation and cool target lock on effect. The impressive-looking PC exclusive is built using Crytek's CryEngine.

Star Citizen holds the world record for the most amount raised by a crowdfunded project. It's made over $40m so far.

There's no release date as of yet.
