Age of Mythology Extended Edition out in May

UPDATE: Age of Mythology launches on 8th May 2014.

Its Steam page is live now. There it costs £22.99, although if you pre-order you get a 20 per cent discount.

We also have revised minimum and recommended specifications.

  • Processor: 1.6 Ghz
  • Memory: 1 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Direct X 10+ Capable GPU
  • DirectX: Version 10
  • Hard Drive: 3 GB available space
  • Sound Card: Direct X Compatible Sound Card
  • Additional Notes: GPU at least Integrated HD 3000, X1950, 8600GT

Recommended:

  • OS: Windows 7, 8.1+
  • Processor: 2.6 Ghz
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Direct X 11+
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Hard Drive: 5 GB available space
  • Additional Notes: GeForce 9800GTX, Radeon 4850+

ORIGINAL STORY: Remember Age of Mythology, the 2002 real-time strategy game from Ensemble Studios? 12 years after it originally released it's getting an official Extended Edition.

The Extended Edition, out on Steam in May, includes Age of Mythology and the Titans expansion, as well as Steamworks integration, Twitch support, an enhanced observer mode, native HD widescreen and improved water and lighting.

Here are the minimum specifications:

  • OS: Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8.1
  • Direct X 10+ Capable GPU
  • Direct X Compatible Sound Card
  • 3GB RAM
  • GPU at least Integrated HD 3000, X1950, 8600GT
