PlayStation Vita Pets out in June

Woof.

PlayStation Vita Pets launches on 4th June, Sony has announced.

The Nintendogs-style game will be sold as a Vita game cart as well as a PlayStation Store download.

PlayStation Vita Pets was made by Liverpool studio Spiral House. In a post on the PlayStation Blog, creative director Kevin Oxland said it had been a "challenging project".

"It may seem like a simple game on the surface but there are actually many layers of depth to it," he said.

"We've spoken a little about this before, about our goals to marry a pet game with an adventure game and a large part of that was always the characters - specifically, our talking puppies."

The game includes 10,000 lines of spoken dialogue, with scripts written for each of the dogs.
