EDF! EDF!

UPDATE: IT'S ALL OVER. THERE'S NOTHING TO SEE HERE. Well, unless you want to watch the stream in its entirety, in which case be our guest.

ORIGINAL STORY:EDF! EDF! Gawd bless Sandlot and its succession of charmingly lo-fi shooters, where whole buildings tumble when hit with a single rocket, and where insects crawl awkwardly across flimsy polygon cities.

And there's a new one! Earth Defense Force 2025 landed this month, and it carried on the fine tradition of the series in being a rough around the edges experience with its heart in the right place. Enough to worth investing in? That all depends on whether the novelty of giant insects has worn off for you yet.

You could always get a decent look at it in action this evening, anyway, by checking in on Ian Higton's livestream of Earth Defense Force 2025, which will be kicking off at 5pm GMT. You're obviously more than welcome to join him and chant 'EDF! EDF!' to spur him on.
