To celebrate the launch of Lighting Returns: Final Fantasy 13, we thought we'd take a look back at one of the most fondly remembered instalments in the series: number seven.

Well, Simon Parkin remembers it fondly anyway, as he explains in this video. Ellie Gibson can only recall something about a train. Anyway, watch them play through the first ten minutes, reflect on the series' development and explain why Barret was a big influence on Miranda Hart.

SPOILER ALERT: Towards the end of the video, Ellie and Simon discuss a plot point relating to the fate of a major character. If you played Final Fantasy 7, you can probably guess what this is. If you didn't, well, you might as well watch anyway, because be honest - how likely is it that you'll ever get round to playing this game if you've been putting it off for 17 years?

Either way, do check out Simon's review of Lightning Returns. We'll be back with another Let's Replay next week.
