No one bought Kingdoms of Amalur

Not even a Schilling?

Everything Kingdoms of Amalur-related went to auction on 11th December.

That included rights to Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, a sequel and the partially developed Copernicus MMO the series was building up to.

But nobody bit, reported Polygon. No "acceptable offers" were received by owner Heritage Global Partners. However, negotiations will continue with interested parties.

The auction wasn't a write-off, mind you. $320,000 was raised from sales of Rise of Nations, Rise of Legends and the Big Huge Games trademark.

Big Huge Games was a subsidiary of 38 Studios, the company created by - and later dragged down by - former baseball star Curt Schilling and his bloody sock.

Reckoning.
