Jonathan Blow hints at The Witness supporting VR

Camera 1, camera 2...

Braid developer and elder statesman of sticking it to the man, Jonathan Blow, has teased VR support for his upcoming first-person puzzle game The Witness.

Blow posted the following couple of images on his official blog for The Witness under the heading "What could it mean?"

Astute viewers will note that the duplicated image is portrayed at slightly different angles - almost as if they were each representing a point of view from a different eye, as demonstrated by Mike Myers below.

Common logic dictates that this is the Oculus Rift Blow's hinting at, but the The Witness is debuting on PS4 next year. Could it be a showcase for Sony's as-of-yet unannounced VR headset? Or is this simply good old Oculus on the PC version?
