South Park takes on next-gen console war and wins

"...because that's how Xbox people are."

No matter who wins, we all lose. Or something.

South Park has taken on the next-gen console war - and won.

The sketch, in the video below, was a part of the episode that aired on Comedy Central in the US overnight. It shows Cartman, Stan and co debating the merits of the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One as they set themselves for the shopping stampede on Black Friday - all the while dressed in the fantasy garb from South Park: The Stick of Truth video game.

"I like the PS4's controller better," says Stan, as the group splits in two.

"Stan, the PS4 doesn't have the seamless transition between games, movies and TV offered by Xbox One," counters Kyle.

"The PS4 controller has a touch-pad interface, but you never wanted to listen to me Kyle," says a distraught Stan. "You just had your head so set because... because that's how Xbox people are."

Stick with it to the end for Cartman's punch to the gut.

I reckon the video is pretty funny, but one commenter on YouTube wasn't impressed.

"Too bad they couldn't talk about how the ps4 controller is cheap and flimsy, or how the ps4 can't stop crashing, or how the camera and voice commands don't work," said Michael Soria.

"How the vita can't be used remotely unless you stand right next to the ps4, or how the record button produces muddy visuals or how all the first part titles got low scores because thet suck, or how all the reviewers are saying not to buy a ps4 because there's no reason to."
