Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag PC release date confirmed

22nd November, alongside Wii U and next-gen versions.

Ubisoft has stamped a release date on the PC edition of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag - it launches on 22nd November.

That's the same day as the game's PlayStation 4, Wii U and Xbox One versions (yes, even though PS4 won't actually have launched yet in the UK).

But Black Flag will launch first for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on 1st November.

Ubisoft has had a patchy launch history with the PC versions of Assassin's Creed (and other franchises) so it's pleasing to see a release date so soon after other formats.

The first Assassin's Creed arrived on PC five months after it launched on PS3 and Xbox 360. PC versions of Assassin's Creed 2 and Brotherhood both arrived four months later than their respective console versions, while Revelations shortened that wait to just a month.

Assassin's Creed 3 arrived on PC three weeks after console versions and was "less buggy" as a result.
