Xbox One will let you upload clips to YouTube and Facebook next year

But only over Xbox Live at launch.

We've known for awhile that the Xbox One would allow peoples to capture five minutes of gameplay footage, but now Microsoft has confirmed that players will be able to upload clips to social sites like YouTube and Facebook.

The bad news is these features won't be added until 2014.

These upcoming services were spotted in a report by Destructoid, then confirmed for 2014 in a statement to Polygon. According to the Destructoid report, players are able to initiate video capture with one voice command, then the 720p 30fps clip automatically gets stored in Xbox One's Upload Studio. From there players can edit, save or share the video.

At launch these videos will only be shareable on Xbox Live.
