Grand Theft Auto 5 launch trailer lands

Car chases! Planes! A submersible! Head butting!

Rockstar has released the launch trailer for Grand Theft Auto 5, which is - count them - just 19 days away.

Story-wise it shows retired mobster Michael choosing to return to his former life of crime, aided by fellow protagonists Franklin and Trevor.

Footage from the game's missions shows off night-time car chases, jet plane flying and plenty of explosions, along with what looks like some kind of submersible.

There's no mention of Grand Theft Auto Online, GTA5's multiplayer service - but that won't go live until 1st October, several weeks after the main game launches.

Grand Theft Auto 5 launches for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 worldwide on 17th September.
