DICE reveals next-gen Battlelog for Battlefield 4

Will you give it a shot?

Battlefield 4 developer DICE has shown off the next version of its social service Battlelog, which will tie deeper into the main PC and console game than before.

You use the app on your tablet or smartphone as a second screen device, showing player positions and map information in real time.

You can also set up challenges for your friends - who kills the most tanks, for example - and get alerts if they overtake you.

Away from the game, Battlelog can be used for customising loadouts and finding specific servers.

EA is yet to reveal the trailer officially - hence why the version embedded below currently has Japanese subtitles. We'll replace it with an official one in due course [UPDATE: Added].
