Dota 2 hits Mac and Linux

Minimum specs revealed.

Dota 2 is out now on Mac and Linux, Valve has announced.

The Mac minimum specs are as follows:

  • Mac OS X Lion 10.7 
  • 4GB RAM
  • 8GB Hard drive space
  • nVidia 320M or higher, or Radeon 7000 or higher, or Intel HD 3000 or higher

And here are the Linux minimum specs:

  • Ubuntu 12.04
  • Dual core from Intel or AMD at 2.8 GHz
  • 4GB RAM
  • 8GB Hard Drive Space
  • nVidia GeForce 8600/9600GT, ATI/AMD Radeaon HD2600/3600 (Graphic Drivers: nVidia 310, AMD 12.11), OpenGL 2.1 OpenAL Compatible Sound Card

Valve made a raft of improvements to the MOBA as part of its 18th July update, including tweaks to the user interface, visuals, matchmaking and gameplay. The patch notes in full are on Steam.
