Steam summer sale could start tomorrow

The annual renowned Steam summer sale could begin as soon as tomorrow, a new report suggests.

An email from a Steam Support rep, sent in relation to a Left 4 Dead 2 sale, let slip that: "Please know that our Steam Sales are starting on July 11th."

A picture of the email was posted on Imgur then shared on Reddit.

The email in the picture looks legit but may not be, as is always the case. But wouldn't that be an awfully cruel and heartless joke to play? Who could do such a thing?

Strengthening the evidence is the date of last year's Steam Summer sale, which started on 12th July. In 2011, the sale kicked-off a bit earlier, from 1st July.

The Steam summer sale typically offers a load of game bundles at huge discounts as well as price-cuts on individual games, and they're changed daily. The ability to gift games to other people on Steam also means you needn't necessarily buy for yourself or keep any of your money whatsoever.
