Putty Squad remake out this summer

For pretty much everything.

Remember Putty Squad, the cute early '90s SNES platformer? It's being remade with updated graphics and it's out this summer.

Putty Squad launches this summer on PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, 3DS, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Windows 8 as a retail boxed product and a download.

The platformer starring a blue blob ties in with original developer System 3's 30th anniversary. System 3, which is still going, is distributing the game. A teaser trailer is below.

Putty Squad launched in 1994 on the SNES. An Amiga port was completed but famously failed to release - despite the demo turning up on magazine cover disks.

For the remake the graphics have been overhauled, and downloadable levels will be released free of charge. On Vita the game uses front and rear touch.
