Microsoft's Entertainment Division revenue has increased 56 per cent since last year

Xbox Live has over 46 million users worldwide.

While Microsoft's upcoming console is shrouded in mystery - or rumours anyway - the Redmond-based mega-corporation's financials seems to be going strong as its Entertainment and Devices Division has raked in $2.53 billion, a 56 per cent increase over the same period last year.

During a recent financial call the company noted that its Xbox Live userbase has increased 18 per cent since this time last year and now has over 46 million members worldwide.

During the last quarter Xbox 360 sold 1.3 million consoles and "maintained its share position in a soft console market," according to Microsoft CFO Peter Klein. However, compared to the nine month period ending on 31st March 2013, Xbox 360 sales declined to 8.9 million from the 11.9 million in the nine months prior to 31st March 2012.
