David Cage: "I actually have probably my next three games in mind"

Please can one star Sylvester Stallone?

French emotion maker David Cage already has "probably my next three games in mind" even though he hasn't blooming finished Beyond: Two Souls yet.

He was talking to GamesIndustry International about choosing ideas for his games.

Said he, words tumbling like tears: "Honestly, I don't know. I actually have probably my next three games in mind. Although I'm full speed on Beyond, I know what I'm doing after it because it's already in development, and I know what I'm doing after that and it probably after that.

"Moo moo I talk like a cow."

"It's great because I have more ideas than I can develop. These ideas come naturally. I don't even need to think about it. It's just that this is how I work. I keep thinking all the time, all the time I'm working.

"And it gives time to ideas really to evolve and to come to a moment where they're ready to be written," he went on. "So it's not like I just finished Beyond - oh my god what am I going to do with the next idea? No, it's something that's matured for a very long time."

Beyond: Two Souls is expected later this year although there's no concrete release date. Actress Ellen Page of Juno fame is main character Jodie Holmes, and it's her ethereal link to a ghost entity called Aidan the story is framed around.

David Cage told Polygon in a recent interview that Beyond: Two Souls won't have quick-time events (QTEs) like his other games did. Beyond will introduce new mechanics that "play more in line with what gamers expect" from a modern action-adventure, he apparently said.

Like Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls will be exclusive to PlayStation 3. Sony may not own developer Quantic Dream but there's evidently a strong relationship between the two of them.

Whether that partnership will continue onto PlayStation 4 remains to be seen. Phil Harrison, the Sony suit accredited with setting up a lot of PS3-exclusive deals, jumped ship to Microsoft. And that may spice things up wonderfully.
