Already greenlit point-and-click horror game Asylum takes to Kickstarter

From the creator of Scratches.

Scratches creator Agustín Cordes' upcoming first-person point-and-click horror game Asylum has already been greenlit on Steam, but Argentinian developer Senscape has still launched a Kickstarter because it would like to expedite the project and needs more funding to do so. $100,666 to be exact.

I'm sure the developers are really going to be kicking themselves if they fall short by less than $666 over a silly joke, but that outcome is looking unlikely. In its first day Asylum has already raised $15,901 and it's got 28 days to go before the 28th February deadline.

Asylum is already in late development as Senscape has been at it for three years. In fact, there's even an "interactive teaser" - basically a demo - out that should give players a rough idea of what to expect.

Senscape estimates the final game to consist of close to 100 rooms and is estimated to take most players approximately 15 hours to complete.

The first 2000 people who pledge $15 towards the game will get a digital copy of the game upon release, while those who donate $75 will get a special edition boxed copy that comes with a Record Book of the Insane that contains several documents that tie into the game's fiction along with a soundtrack.

Asylum is estimated for release this December on PC, Mac and Linux.
