Revengeance demo due next week

Update: European demo date confirmed.

Update: In Europe, the demo will be released on Wednesday, 23rd January, Konami has now confirmed. That's on both PS3 and Xbox 360.

You'll be able to try out three stages from the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance game. What they are, Konami didn't say.

Original story: A demo for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is due on Xbox Live and PSN starting on 22nd January, Konami revealed to Gamespot.

This probably means it will come to the North American PSN on the 22nd, a Tuesday, then arrive in Europe the following day where it will appear internationally on Xbox Live, but we're trying to confirm this with Konami. This seems likely as it was announced last month that a demo would arrive in January.

The publisher also released a new seven-plus minute trailer - below - depicting Raiden behaving like a killer cyborg ninja on crack. He seems pretty damn deadly, yet the stage score at the end noted that he's only at B level performance. I'd love to seem someone ace that to see what he's really capable of.

Enticingly, Raiden seems to go all Renegade at the end where he starts glowing red and speaking in his cackling, guttural evil dude voice. He seems like he'd be good fun at parties.
