UPDATE: GameStop has pulled its incredible Far Cry offer.

The Far Cry Complete Pack is now listed for £54.98. Earlier it had been available for just £4.94.

Snooze you lose!

ORIGINAL STORY: It is one of the best game deals we've seen: all of the Far Cry games for under a fiver.

Whether deliberately or by mistake, GameStop is selling Far Cry, Far Cry 2 and Far Cry 3 on PC for a grand total of £4.94 - a saving of £50.

That's £4.94 for the Far Cry Complete Pack Bundle, which includes Far Cry, Far Cry 2 Fortune's Edition and Far Cry 3 Deluxe Edition. You also get the Far Cry 3 Deluxe Edition DLC.

I've just verified it works, paying with a VISA Debit card. You have to download the GameStop app, the US shop's version of Steam, to install the games. I'm downloading and installing Far Cry 3 now.

It's a US-led offer (the website says it displays the price in pounds converted from dollars) but at the time of publication it is possible to get all three games in the open world shooter series for dirt cheap if you're on these shores.

Merry Christmas.
