Humble THQ Bundle adds Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War as total payments near $4.5m

Pay what you want for nine games.

Real-time strategy classic Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War has been added to the Humble THQ Bundle.

You get the Relic Entertainment-developed game if you pay more than the average of $5.68, correct at the time of publication.

As of now, total payments have reached a whopping $4.487 million from 788,967 purchases. As is the Humble Bundle way, you decide how much to pay, and how much goes to charity.

The astonishing deal features nine THQ games, including Saints Row The Third, Red Faction Armageddon, Darksiders, Metro 2033 and Company of Heroes.

Previously, we reported that THQ president Jason Rubin had paid $1050 of his own cash to the Humble THQ Bundle. THQ CEO Brian Farrell topped that with $1650, but top of the leaderboard is someone called McJohn, who paid $1650.01. Well done McJohn.

While Humble Bundle doesn't disclose the charity / publisher split of payments, THQ will no doubt be doing well out of the promotion. The embattled publisher is teetering on the edge as it seeks a white knight financier to save it from going bust.
