Mass Effect 3: Omega DLC will not be available for Wii U

EA relays the bad news.

The Wii U version of Mass Effect 3 will not receive upcoming add-on Omega, publisher EA has announced.

While the Wii U version includes some DLC content on its disc, major episodes such as the previously-launched Leviathan and the upcoming Omega have been left separate.

Many assumed these would be available via the Wii U eShop. This now appears not to be the case.

"Unfortunately it will not be available for Wii U," a statement on the official Mass Effect 3 Twitter reads.

When questioned whether any DLC would be released at all beyond what the game had on-disc, EA replied: "Never say never :)"

Mass Effect 3 launches alongside the Wii U in Europe on 30th November, and comes with the game's From Ashes extra character, Extended Cut ending and the first three multiplayer expansions (Resurgence, Rebellion and Earth).

It does not include single-player expansion Leviathan, the most recent multiplayer expansion Retaliation or either of the game's weapon packs.

Eurogamer has contacted EA for comment and we'll update when we hear back.
