UK shop Simply Games promises to break Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 street date

UPDATE: Promise removed. Did Activision get in touch?

UPDATE: Simply Games has removed its promise to ship Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 tomorrow from its Facebook page.

Did Activision get in touch?

Simply Games Facebook page, before the promise was removed.

ORIGINAL STORY: A UK shop has promised customers it'll break the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 street date.

Simply Games' Facebook page includes an update saying those who order the game before 4.30pm today will get it in the post tomorrow - five days before it launches.

"Call of Duty Black Ops 2 IN STOCK AND SHIPPING TODAY!! ONLY £43.85!!” screams its Facebook page.

Then, a couple of posts in the comments:

“Hi, I can confirm it does contain Nuketown DLC and orders placed before 4.30pm today will be dispatched today for likely delivery via Royal Mail tomorrow or Monday,” reads a post. “Express orders will be guaranteed Monday delivery.”

Then, “The VAST MAJORITY will get it tomorrow or failing that on Monday. Sadly we do not offer a express Saturday delivery service.”

Other shops and Call of Duty publisher Activision will no doubt be incensed by Simply Games' actions. We've asked the company for comment.
