Grand Theft Auto 5 images reveal in-game locations

Second trailer delayed due to Hurricane Sandy.

A number of Grand Theft Auto 5 locations have been revealed in a set of exclusive screenshots for pre-order customers.

The images (posted online by AGB) were housed in miniature picture viewers, a collectible for those who pre-order the game.

One screenshot shows the palm tree-laden Vespucci Canals area, while another gives a fresh look at the Del Perro Pier and fairground, first glimpsed in last year's trailer. There's also an image of the city's infamous Vinewood area, developer Rockstar's take on the affluent Hollywood district.

Outside the city of Los Santos there's a look at the mountainous Zancudo River area, seen in an earlier screenshot, where players can go skydiving. Even more rural is Grapeseed farm, with what looks like a tractor to play around in.

A letter sent to retailers alongside the picture viewers makes mention of a new trailer for the game. It had been due this week but has now been delayed due to Hurricane Sandy.

"We are working on a second trailer - unfortunately Hurricane Sandy has derailed our plans somewhat but we will have something to show soon," a statement from Rockstar explained.

"It's hard to be precise as we have no power whatsoever in our New York office. We hope everyone else in affected areas is doing okay."

Rockstar finally confirmed a "spring 2013" Grand Theft Auto 5 release date earlier this week.
