Zelda, Mario 3DS games coming to Japanese eShop.

Nintendo Japan has revealed two 3DS XL special editions featuring Mario and Animal Crossing designs.

The smartly-dressed duo will be available in bundles with New Super Mario Bros. 2 and the upcoming Animal Crossing 3DS - in Japan, at least.

A Japanese Nintendo Direct conference also divulged details on nine older 3DS games soon to arrive as downloads from the 3DS eShop.

Digital versions of the following will be available in Japan on 1st November: Mario Tennis Open, Mario and Sonic Olympics, Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, Star Fox 64 3D, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Pilotwings Resort and Hana to Ikimono Rittai Zukan (a Japan-only 3D encyclopedia of Flora and Fauna).

Europe gets its own 3DS-focused Nintendo Direct conference tomorrow at 7pm UK time. Eurogamer will be watching, ready to put down a pre-order on one of the bad boys below.
