Lord of the Rings Online's Riders of Rohan expansion delayed until October

Bonus goodies rewarded for pre-orders as a tolkien of good faith.

The Riders of Rohan expansion to Lord of the Rings Online has been pushed back to 15th October, developer Turbine has announced.

Executive Producer Kate Paiz noted on the company blog that the beta had been "very successful" and "The amount and quality of feedback on our largest expansion ever has been fantastic."

Unfortunately, "In order to address those issues and meet our expectations for quality we're going to need more time. As a result, we've elected to delay our launch to October 15th."

Those who pre-ordered the Riders of Rohan expansion will receive 500 Turbine Points and a goodie bag of consumables. The points will automatically be added to user's accounts, while the code for the items will be e-mailed to players, who will be able to redeem them beginning 5th September.

The pre-order bonus items include:

  • 100 per cent XP Boost (1hr)
  • Slayer deed accelerators x1 (60 min)
  • +20 per cent renown (3 hours)
  • +20 per cent mount speed (1 hour)
  • Tome of defense
  • Scroll of finesse
