Super Mario Bros. World 1-1 recreated in, err, Trials Evolution

Didn't realise it could do that.

Someone, some one person, has recreated Super Mario Bros. World 1-1 using the modding tools of motorbike racing game Trials Evolution!

Besides being gloomier, the Skill Game Mario World 1-1 is uncanny to the saccharine and cherished NES original. Great work, creator Patrick Bellic.

Mario World 1-1's available now from Track Central, and can be found under the Highest Rated column, according to YouTube user FatShady1 - whose video I've posted below.

Mario World 1-1 came out sometime last week. Since then, it's been downloaded nearly 26,000 times. And I jolly well think we can do better than that.

Eurogamer took a look at some of the other best user-created Trials Evolution tracks earlier this year.
