12 new characters will be available to download for fighting game Street Fighter x Tekken on 31st July 2012, Capcom has announced.

The new characters can only be bought as a single pack for 15.99 / €19.99 on PlayStation 3, and 1600 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360.

The DLC raises the character count to 50. The new characters are Blanka, Cody, Dudley, Elena, Guy and Sakura (from Street Fighter), and Alisa Bosconovitch, Bryan Fury, Christie Monteiro, Jack-X, Lars Alexandersson and Lei Wulong (from Tekken).

The first run of all retail copies of the PS Vita version of the game, due out in the autumn, come with two free download codes that let you transfer DLC content to your PS3. One code is for the additional 12 characters and the second gives Vita players free alternate costumes for the core roster of 38 characters.

Capcom said anyone who pre-orders the Vita version at select retailers will get alternative costumes for the 12 new characters. All DLC can be shared between PS3 and Vita.
