UPDATE: All PSN services have been restored.

UPDATE: All PSN services have been restored, Sony has announced. "Thank you for your patience," read a Sony tweet.

ORIGINAL STORY: PlayStation Network is on the blink, Sony has confirmed.

The platform holder's online service seems to have been down for many users all day, with store log-in seemingly the main sticking point.

Sony is currently investigating the issue but hasn't revealed exactly what the nature of the problem is.

Here's the full statement, as published on its technical help forums:

"At the moment PlayStation Network is currently experiencing issues and some users may encounter problems with network services and the store. (An error code e.g. 80023102 may appear when trying to sign in)

"Engineers are currently investigating the cause of these problems, and I will update here when more information is available."
