Temple Run sequel based on new Pixar film

Temple Run: Brave is due out this month for iOS.

Imangi Studios has announced a sequel to our first ever App of the Day, Temple Run, based on Disney Pixar's upcoming film Brave and due out this month.

According to Modojo, Temple Run: Brave is mostly just a re-skinned version of the original, hyper-addictive auto-runner, but there is a new archery aspect where you can tap targets to shoot a bullseye and earn additional coins.

Coins, as anyone who got hooked on Temple Run well knows, double up as the in-game currency, which can be spent unlocking power-ups that help you to go further and further.

Temple Run was a third-person affair where you used gestures and tilt motions to swerve, jump, slide and turn corners as your runner legged it away from crazy monkey villains.

Temple Run: Brave will cost 99 cents (so 69p) and you will begin with 99 cents' worth of in-game coins (2500) for free to spend on power-ups. You can either earn more coins or buy them from iTunes.

Check out the trailer to see what the new game looks like.
