YouTube app hits PS Vita late June

Free from PlayStation Store.

YouTube launches on PS Vita late June, Sony has announced.

The app, a free download from the PlayStation Store, features most of the functions of big brother YouTube, including search, favourites and comments. Your personal YouTube account works, too, so you can keep up with your subscriptions.

Sony's Don Mesa said: "PlayStation Vita was developed with the idea of creating and delivering compelling content for all of you gamers. With the recent announcements of applications such Paint Park, Treasure Park and Wake-up Club, and Skype, we're continuing to build out PS Vita's portfolio of applications.

"As we move further into 2012, we look forward to introducing you to more unique, social and immersive experiences only available on PS Vita,"

The YouTube Vita app will be available in the following countries: Australia, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.
