Everyone will be able to download all the Uncharted 2 DLC for free from today, Sony has announced.

The news comes after the DLC became free to download for free in the US only - a move that sparked complaints from European PlayStation 3 owners.

Sony said today the US offer went early, and is designed to celebrate the arrival of the first two games in the action adventure series being available to download from 26th June.

"While we popped the cork a bit early in the States, this is indeed a celebration of the pending arrival of both of Drake's adventures as downloadable digital titles," Mick Perona, associate product marketing manager of first party games, wrote on the US PlayStation blog.

"When the PS Store updates today, everyone worldwide will be able to download the following DLC content for Uncharted 2 absolutely free of charge:

  • UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves "Drake's Fortune" MP Pack.
  • UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves "Golden Guns".
  • UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves "PlayStation Heroes" Skin Pack.
  • UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves "Sidekick Skin Pack".
  • UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves "Siege Expansion Pack".

The DLC will be free until the digital launch of Uncharted 1 and 2. From 26th June you'll have to buy it from the PS Store as normal or as part of the Uncharted 2: Game of the Year Edition.
