Nintendo to cease 3DS Aqua Blue production

Launch colour red marching orders.

What's your favourite 3DS colour? If it's Aqua Blue, you'll need to pop to the shops and buy one, fast.

Nintendo's official hardware page stated that the Aqua Blue hue will soon cease to be manufactured, Andriasang spotted. Whether this just applies to Japan is unclear.

Aqua Blue has been available, alongside Cosmo Black, since the hardware's original launch. Flare Red, Misty Pink, Ice White and Cobalt Blue variants have since launched, although the latter is still Japan-exclusive.

Next up, the snazzy Midnight Purple 3DS, which is to launch in the US this month alongside Mario Tennis Open.
