The Kickstarter drive to fund a full remake of smutty 1987 adventure game Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards has hit its $500,000 target.

The project currently rests at $506,072 from 11,235 backers with another six days of fund-raising still left to run.

Developer Replay Games marked the occasion with a succinct "Thanks gang!" on its Twitter feed.

With original creator Al Lowe on board, Replay is aiming to launch the game on PC and tablets with completely new visuals and user interface. If the new version proves successful, the rest of the series will likely follow.
