UK Top 40: Kinect Star Wars forces way to chart victory
First Kinect game ever to hit chart top spot.
Kinect Star Wars is the UK's new all-formats chart number one.
Nearly a year and a half after the launch of Microsoft's motion-sensing peripheral, 5/10 Kinect Star Wars is the first Kinect-exclusive title to hit the top spot.
12 per cent of people buying Kinect Star Wars bought the game in a bundle with the new R2D2-flavoured console, worth £350.
FIFA Street, last week's top scorer, is now second. EA once again conquered the top five with Mass Effect 3 third, FIFA 12 fourth and Tiger Woods 12 fifth.
Both FIFA Street and FIFA 12 recorded an increase in sales - FIFA Street up three per cent after four weeks of release, while FIFA 12 sales figures shot up 48 per cent after months on the chart.
Devil May Cry HD Collection arrived in 18th place, while Pixar adventure Kinect Rush turned up in 32nd.
Sega's 8/10 3DS rhythm game Rhythm Thief and the Emporer's Treasure is nowhere to be seen. It was Eurogamer's Game of the Week last week.
Top Gun: Hard Lock and Dynasty Warriors spin-off Warriors Orochi 3 also failed to chart, as did movie tie-in Alvin & The Chipmunks: Chip Wrecked.
