Tomb Raider developer working on new IP

Crystal Dynamics has mystery project on the go.

Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics is currently working on a brand new IP alongside its impending Lara Croft reboot.

A blog post from Square Enix community manager Meagan Marie mentioned that the studio is getting ready to reveal "exciting new intellectual property".

"2012 is going to be the biggest year in Crystal's history," added studio boss Darrell Gallagher.

"We have a ton of great content lined up from our teams and we can't wait to pull the wrapper off some of the amazing things we have been putting all of our efforts into."

Crystal Dynamics took over the Tomb Raider franchise from original developer Core Design with 2006's Tomb Raider: Legend. Its other creations include Gex and Legacy of Kain.

Its new Tomb Raider title, trailered below, is due out later this year.
