Capcom: UMVC3 Vita is a triple-A launch title

Has Heroes and Heralds mode. Share DLC with PS3.

The Vita version of fighting game Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is a triple-A launch title, Capcom has claimed.

It's "more than a mere port," the US arm of the Japanese company said on the Capcom Unity website.

UMVC3 on Vita includes all 50 playable characters, all the features of the console version, the new Heroes & Heralds mode, and "a few bells and whistles of its own".

The headline new feature is the ability to share downloadable content between the Vita and PlayStation 3 versions of the game. You can trade content between Vita versions using the handheld's Near mechanic. And, as revealed last week, you can use your Vita as a controller when playing the PS3 version.

Exclusive to the Vita version is the ability to save and analyse your replays. This allows you to view character hit boxes and command input chains - something you can't do on the console version.

Expect fully featured online modes over Wi-fi and a Spectator Mode. If you fancy it, you can use the Vita's touch-screen controls, too.

Capcom confirmed UMVC3 Vita is part of the early wave of games that launch on 15th Feb - a week before the console itself goes on sale on 22nd February 2012.
