Trine 2 release dates announced

PC first, then PSN, then XBLA.

A set of release dates have been announced for stylish puzzle platformer Trine 2.

Developer Frozenbyte states that the game debuts on Steam for PC and Mac on 7th December. North American PSN users get it next on 20th December, followed by a worldwide Xbox Live Arcade release on 21st December.

A European PSN date is yet to be announced but the studio hopes "it won't be far behind if delayed at all."

No word yet on console prices but the standard Steam edition sells for €12.99/£11.99. A Collector's Edition, priced at €19.99/£17.99, adds a digital artbook, developer commentary and the original soundtrack.

A DRM-free version of the game is planned for some time in 2012.

The original game picked up a solid 8/10 back in 2009. See Eurogamer's Trine review for details.
