PSN maintenance scheduled this Thursday

Sony has scheduled a bout of PlayStation Network maintenance for this Thursday.

The following features will be affected between 4.00pm and 6.00pm, though Sony warns that there might be additional downtime on top of that for testing purposes.

  • Signing into PSN
  • PlayStation Store
  • Account management
  • PS Sign In (via SonyEntertainmentNetwork)

The post on the PlayStation community site didn't explain why the maintenance is necessary.
