3DS thumbstick add-on gets a name

Meet the Circle Pad Pro.

It looks like Nintendo has settled on a name for its unwieldy analogue stick 3DS cradle.

According to a Nintendo trademark filing spotted by Siliconera, it'll be called the Circle Pad Pro when it launches in the West early next year.

Still no word on exactly when that might be, but it'll likely be before Resident Evil: Revelations arrives on 27th January, which Nintendo has confirmed is compatible with the new peripheral.

Over in Japan, the add-on launches in December alongside Monster Hunter Tri G.
