Activision's DreamWorks Mario Kart game

Super Star Kartz for all consoles.

Activision has announced Mario Kart! Oh, no, it's apparently called DreamWorks Super Star Kartz.

DreamWorks, as in the film studio - this is a game about DreamWorks' array of characters racing each other in go karts. There are 14 characters pulled from films Shrek, Madagascar, How to Train Your Dragon and Monsters vs. Aliens.

There are "amazing stunts", "awesome tricks" and weapons to help you out-race and "outwit" opponents. King Julien, the funny little lemur from Madagascar, commentates.

There are Battle, Circuit and Time Trial modes. There's split-screen multiplayer for four, but the press release doesn't mention online.

DreamWorks Super Star Kartz will be released this autumn (that's quick) for Nintendo 3DS, DS, Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360.
